testing skincare

I recently went into a dark hole of researching "safe" beauty and skincare brands. Not only did I discover that my beauty routine I finally cracked was toxic, but the key words on product labels like natural and organic were simply marketing and not really accurate.

After countless hours of research and review of red flag ingredients, I found two skincare products to test out.

Not only were the ingredients to my liking, but the minimalist packaging caught my eye (I'm such a sucker for marketing).

Herbivore Rose Hibiscus Face Mist

I love a refreshing face mist. This one is on trend with the floral rose note, but you only need one spray. I found that if I sprayed more than one time the scent was strong enough to make me cough. Who knows if this does anything, but after washing my face I like to start my routine with a nice spritz.

French Girl Creme Fraiche Facial Moisturizer

Committing to a new moisturizer is hard, so I went with the 1oz version. The scent is a bit medicinal which isn't for everyone, you need only a pea sized amount for your face and it's super light. I would recommend this as a good option for the summer months versus winter when you may need something a bit thicker.
