clean products while pregnant or not
When you’re pregnant you’re bombarded with opinions from all sources. It’s interesting that your makeup, food, workout, general lifestyle can be turned upside down in an instant.
One thing that struck a chord with me is that certain chemicals in beauty aren't safe and the only time it's talked about or brought to your attention is when you're pregnant. In my opinion, if it isn't safe while you’re pregnant then it might not be safe when you’re not. This led me down this rabbit hole of researching what products could be deemed safer than the norm. The one thing that I really struggled with during my personal research is that my lux brands were at the higher end of the toxicity spectrum. I’ve been waiting quite some time to splurge on luxurious products and the moment I can, I find out it’s horrible for me.
Now i’m having a hard time throwing away products that cost a pretty penny that have a good amount to use left. One part of me says I should be OK getting rid of something that is toxic for me and the other part of me says I can finish using the products and then start my cleaner beauty routine later. I'll start with the happy medium.
