boho dreams
I've always been fascinated, no mesmerized by the intricate designs and craftsmanship of Europe, the Middle East and India. If I combine design and aesthetic from them all, I can achieve a bohemian flare that's in sync with my romantic, and sometimes too colorful for some vibe.
To give you a quick glimpse into my younger self and personality that still carries through to today, I would sit at my computer for hours discovering popular international songs, learn the lyrics and then dance like no one was watching. This would all be done in my red hip scarf adorned with silver coins I got from eBay. Can you picture it? I know, ridiculous, but when Habibi Ya Nour El Ein or Yearning (both played at my wedding) comes on I’ll be surprising everyone on the dance floor.
Anyways, because of my love for global culture, music and design I tend to incorporate those into my home when I can since home decor is a reflection of your personality. It does get tricky when you join forces with a partner because then there's that word compromise, but I mean happy wife happy life, right?
When I have a house with my hubby in the future, I intend to listen to Habibi on repeat and give it some flare the way my Pinterest board speaks.
